No love for DRM at Harlequin's new digital publishing house

Freedom-loving romance fans might just swoon: mega-publisher Harlequin's new "digital publishing house," Carina Press, will be DRM-free:

DRM free? Really? You’re not just pulling my leg?

AJ: No, really, DRM free!

This is great news: romance accounts for 1/4 of all book sales, and Harlequin is the big player. We hope everyone who loves to read will congratulate them for joining the ranks of DRM-free publishers.

In a reverse of this move, self-publishing service Lulu just added DRM to their offering (write them to demand they stop). Harlequin's decision shows that the momentum is in the exact opposite direction.
