Gayle Osterberg OUT OF OFFICE UNTIL NEXT WEEKleft messageLeft Message (Human)

Left name and number with a message about how DRM restricts my freedoms with music I have purchased in a way that purchasing a CD does not.

Laird PopkinInformation out of dateTalked to Target

The information on this site is out of date. I just called and talked to Mike someone or other who told me that Laird hasn't worked there for two years. He also told me that we'll have better luck calling other folks, as he takes care of the tech end of things such as mail servers etc.

Edgar M. Bronfman Jr.Talked to assistantLeft Message (Human)

I just spoke with one of Edgar's assistants, Frankie. She was very pleasant (as was I). I explained our position and she suggested that I send her an email which she would get to the right person.

Edgar M. Bronfman Jr.Msg for EdgardLeft Message (VM)

I called the main switch board and was connected with a voice mail box for Edgar Bronfman. I left a detailed message explaining our position and asking Warner to consider dropping DRM in favor of unrestricted digital files.

In the process, I discovered that the VM box is 4400. If you call direct to 4400 you get one of Bronfman's assistants. I spoke with Frankie, and she was very nice. She suggested I email her and she would make sure that my comments get to the right person.

Will TanousOut of officeLeft Message (Human)

Spoke with a receptionist who advised that Mr. Tanous was not available. Left a detailed message about our position, explained that DbD is acting against them today and she should expect more calls. Also asked her to pass on the message to other PR execs listed on DbD website.

Laird PopkinNot involved in business side, does R&DTalked to Target

Spoke with Laird. He was surprised by the call, did not know of the campaign. He advised that he is not involved with the business side, his division does R&D. I asked him to pass on our message to the appropriate people and explained the basic premise that DRM is bad for artists and consumers. He said he would pass on the message.

Edgar M. Bronfman Jr.Left voicemail for BronfmanLeft Message (VM)

Got through and left a VM for Mr. Bronfman urging him to follow EMI's lead and drop DRM. Explained that I consume a lot of music but won't buy from WB until they drop DRM.
